Fiat Palio Sport 1.2- My Ride

This is my Fiat Palio 2004 1.2 Petrol Sports, Couldn’t get my hands on it till August 2008.

What can I say about the car?? It’s a dream Ride!!

Though it doesn’t score big in the looks department (Still looks better than TATA Indica’s and The New NANO, but fails miserably compared to swift and the modifications that can be done to it), performance is where this car really excels.

And accel it does!! I’ve pushed it to a Max of 135km/h on NH48 (Bangalore - Mangalore)…Not the best road to check out the top speed of your vehicle, but what can I say? I wanted to get to the other side real Quick!

Safety Is another department where this car really out lasts its opponents (Literally!). Known for its super strong body, this car is basically mini Tank on wheels of sorts! Where most Maruti’s and Santro’s would shatter into a million pieces on impact, this car just seems to absorb all of it and have nothing to show on its body. Quite frankly one of the strongest bodies on the Indian roads other than old school Ambassadors.

Modifications came in 3 stages (As and When I had Cash and Some Spare Time) :

Stage 1 saw complete mechanical repairs and servicing.

Stage 2 saw the addition of a new Pioneer MP3 Panel, 4 JBL Speakers, And a New Muffler.

Stage 3 comprised of freeing up the very restrictive air intake of the car with a K&N Air Filter Replacement, Some inside Neon’s and Two Tone black Rally Sticker on the front and rear bumper. Xenon Headlamps and Fog lamps added as well.

Pending work includes a complete black roof vinyl, New Carpets (The ones inside are 5 yr old and really worn out), New Stereo, and probably some alloy rims to finish the look.

Headers Are the only BIG Mechanical Modification im looking at, 12k Rs Being the cost for them.

Suzuki Swift – Mods And Upgrades

The hottest car to hit the Indian shores and the most important launch for Maruti since the 800 almost 25 years ago was the Suzuki Swift which arrived on Indian soil May 27- 2005.

Interestingly, the company paired with the Yashraj Films camp, and released the car simultaneously with the release of the movie ‘Bunty Aur Bubli’ starring Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee. They even got the moviemakers to place the hot hatch in the movie.

4 years later the cars still the poster boy for Maruti, and its popularity among the youth is so obvious, they even made a “Play” add showing the owner forcing his wife for a spin only to enjoy the drive. (Football Anyone?)

Now as expected, with such a hot car, the modifications for this ride just kept pourning in until customization shops had virtually no place to keep them! But their ordeal was short lived as thousands of Swift owners set out to build the ultimate swift.

From K&N Stock filters, to Conical Ones, To Rear Spoilers, Body Kits, NEW Headlamps (costing about 4k Rs), Alloy wheels (Anywhere between 12-15k Rs), To Even custom headers Adding much more UMPH to the already insanely fast swift.

I’ve even heard people brag about hitting 195Km/h on National Highways. Its Illegal but Impressive. Whether its true or not you decide.

I was once able to keep up with a swift really pushing it on the Highway in my Palio Sport 2004. I was doing about 130 - 135km/h so im guessing that guy should not have been goin more than 150km/h though even that’s doubtful since he wasn’t pulling away that hard.

Toyota Corolla 2009

The Toyota Corolla was once voted the best, most economical and most reliable car in the world…but was never considered a car with drop dead looks. If people were dropping back in the 80’s and 90’s It was probably because they didn’t want to be seen in one of these and would rather sink 5 inches into their seats and drive off without anyone noticing them.

Well, Not Anymore…

Here are a few ways you could modify your Corolla to look like it’s just come out of the latest fast and furious movie.

Body Kits And Rims have gotten old. Almost every "Racer" out there puts one on..

But the thing that never gets old are ANGEL EYES.

Almost reminding you of your first crush, these light blue rings of wonder just seem to stand out and scream LOOK AT ME!!! if you listen closely, maybe you could just hear it when one rolls by…or even better if you own one !!!

The only thing that can get more attention than angel

rolling down your windows and screaming your head off at everyone that walks by !!(If your In Mumbai, thats probably just the definition of daily life) but be warned, those are not stares of admiration!! And a rehab session maybe just around the corner for you !!

I Specially like the two-tone paint job done… Two tones went out of fashion a long time ago, but some cars like these just seem to revive it all the time!!

Wicked 2008 Honda Accord Ghost !!

I Stumbled upon this insanely sick Honda Accord 2008 while browsing the web. Its owned by a guy called Karlos in San Francisc. Man do people there know how to Mod a ride or what ??!!

The Colors plain white but its got a Killer Mugen Body Kit combined with 20 “Konig Wheels and Nitto Tires (Click On The Image To Enlarge).

Though I wouldn’t recommend putting 20’s on an Accord which comes with 18’s Stock (Larger alloys just keep cracking all the time) I simply can’t refuse the awesome look it gives to the car.

Combine those an AEM Intake, MagnaFlow Exhaust, Eibach Shocks, Eibach Springs and Brembo Brakes and this car is simply the MOST ELECTRIFYING ACCORD OUT THERE today. So if you happen to own an Accord and are looking for ways to modify it, Make This car Your Modification Bible today !!
